Effectiveness of Herbicide to Control Rice Weeds in Diverse Saline Environments

چکیده
To mitigate environmental pollution and food contamination caused by inappropriate excessive herbicide usage, most potent herbicides should be screened to control rice weeds. A research trial was executed for assessing the comparative efficacy of different field weeds evaluate toxicity on under normal (distilled water) as well salinity levels (4 8 dS m?1). The study designed select its appropriate dose weed crop in coastal areas. Fourteen herbicidal treatments were included free crop, Pretilachlor (0.25, 0.50, 0.375 0.75 kg a.i. ha?1), Propanil + Thiobencarb (0.6 1.2, 0.9 1.8, 1.2 2.4 1.8 3.6 Bensulfuron MCPA (0.03 0.05, 0.045 0.075, 0.06 0.1 0.09 0.15 ha?1) weedy check (control). results revealed that all tested higher than recommended doses non-saline fields effective controlling Cyperus iria, Echinochloa colona (salt-tolerant) Jussiaea linifolia but showed light injury plants grown soils. These recorded severe saline conditions indicating their differential from conditions. Treatments including (0.375kg (0.9 ai/ha), (0.06 (0.50 remained superior terms grain yield production salinitylevels at TanjungKarang, Malaysia. It is concluded respond differently optimization potentially prevent plants.

Integration of Allelopathy to Control Weeds in Rice
Rice (Oryza sative L.) is the main food crop in Asia and the staple food of the majority of the population in many regions of the world. The population pressure in rice-consuming countries demands that more attention be directed towards new approaches to sustainable rice produc‐ tion. Improvement of both crop quality and yield is an urgent task [1]. Optimally, rice yield improvement must be sou...

متن کاملHerbicide Metabolism in Weeds — Selectivity and Herbicide Resistance
The metabolic detoxication/bioactivation pathways, the levels and activity of enzymes, and endogenous cofactors mediating these reactions in crops have been well document‐ ed; however, much less evidence has been accumulated in weed species. The herbicide metabolism as a selectivity factor is summarized with special attention to acetyl-CoA car‐ boxylases (ACCase)-inhibiting aryloxyphenoxypropio...
متن کاملHerbicide Resistant Weeds and Crops
Modern herbicidal weed control often exploits physiological differences among plants and takes advantage of herbicide tolerance or resistance in crop plants to bring about the selective removal of susceptible weeds. The Weed Science Society of America defines herbicide tolerance as “the inherent ability of a plant to survive and reproduce after herbicide treatment” which suggests that herbicide...
